Robert Jobson

ROBERT JOBSON is a respected author, commentator and broadcaster on Royal affairs and has appeared as an expert on television networks around the world.

As CNN's royal commentator he was the network's analyst for their live specials on the wedding of the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, the Queen's Golden Jubilee Celebrations in 2002, and the historic funerals of the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret which was watched by a worldwide audience of millions.

Jobson has regularly appeared as a royal expert for NBC, CBS, ABC in
America as well as for the BBC, ITV and SKY news in Britain. He has also been a guest of numerous royal documentaries, including two BBC Panorama specials on Camilla Parker Bowles (2002, 2005) and the acclaimed The Windsors, A Royal Family (1994).

He currently writes on royal matters for the London Evening Standard where he broke the world exclusive in February 2005 that the Prince of Wales was to wed his long term love Camilla in the Spring.

He is the co-author of the acclaimed international bestseller Diana: Closely Guarded Secret, written with Princess Diana's former Scotland Yard bodyguard Inspector Ken Wharfe, and published in a media storm.

This memoir, published by Michael O'Mara books, gives a first-hand account of Diana's life through the eyes of her police bodyguard and takes issue with many of the so-called facts about Diana. It became a bestseller on both sides of the Atlantic, providing an affectionate but not uncritical insight into this complex, troubled, but ultimately fascinating woman.

Jobson also worked as the royal correspondent for the top selling Sun newspaper and later as Royal and Diplomatic Editor, as well as Assistant Editor, for the Daily Express where he reported on the British Royal Family during one of the most fascinating periods in their recent history.
